His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn gave his blessings and good wishes to Thai people for 2021.

In a New Year’s eve address at Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace,at 8pm on Thursday, the King conveyed his blessings and good wishes for all Thai people to be happy throughout the year.

“Thai people have long standing culture, traditions, rites, language and arts that represent the goodness, beauty and prosperity of our country. They also connect and unite Thai people from every part of the country as one. It is important that all Thais help preserve this cultural heritage and further improve them in the future.

“I wish you all to have a strong commitment to complete your duties, along with intelligence, conscience and logical thinking based on righteousness and truth. Although the country is facing challenges due to a disease, through cooperation and understanding we could all overcome this crisis together and progress sustainably towards the future.

“May the Holy Triple Gem and all the sacred things that you revere, as well as the virtues of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, protect your families and bless you with good health and intelligence that will help you and the country achieve happiness and prosperity together.”

Their Majesties the King and Queen also released a 2021 New Year greeting card for Thai people. On the front side of the card is the symbol of the Chakri dynasty, as well as the symbols of Their Majesties. When opened, on the right side of the card is a picture of the King and Queen, while on the left is the message “2021 New Year Blessing”, with the signatures of Their Majesties.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida on Friday presided over the 2020 Quran recitation competition at the Central Mosque in the Muang district of Pattani province.

Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida presided over the ceremony to open a new Supreme Court Office in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district on Monday.

Their Majesties arrived at the court in the evening and also granted an audience to high-ranking officials led by Metinee Chalodhorn, President of the Supreme Court.

After the ceremony, the King and the Queen also greeted the public who were waiting to meet the royals outside the court.

Their Majesties the King and Queen attended the Jaroen Maha Mongkol religious chanting ceremony on Thursday evening at the Royal Plaza in front of Dusit Palace in Bangkok’s Dusit district.

The ceremony was held in remembrance of the royal kindness of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on the occasion of his upcoming birthday on December 5.

Their Majesties were accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, the Princess Rajasarinisiribajra and Chao Khun Phra Sineenat Bilaskalayani.

The government has announced that the first six days of December will be observed as special days in memory of the beloved late monarch King Rama IX.

Government spokesman Anucha Buraphachaisri said on Monday that areas outside the Defence Ministry, the Privy Council, Suan Saranrom and Museum Siam will be decorated for the occasion.

Also the Emerald Buddha Temple, Wat Pho, Wat Ratchapradit and Wat Ratchbophit will be open to visitors from 10am to 9.30pm during the period.

The late monarch’s birthday, December 5, is marked as Father’s Day in Thailand.

HM the King has granted nine land title deeds to government agencies and educational institutions.

On Sunday, Their Majesties the King and Queen arrived at Amporn Sathan Throne in Dusit Palace to hand over land title deeds of royal properties in Bangkok and other provinces to use as government workplaces and educational establishments.

The royal occasion of giving title deeds for public benefit was last held in 2017.

▪︎Interior Minister General Anupong Paochinda received a land title deed of 14 rai, 1 ngan and 72.70 square wah, located in Dusit district of Bangkok for use as a workplace for the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, and a land title deed for 9 rai, 3 ngan and 92.30 square wah, in Dusit district of Bangkok, to use as a workplace for the Department of Local Administration.

▪︎Education Minister Natthaphon Teepsuwan was granted a land title deed for an area of 10 rai, 2 ngan and 65.70 square wah in the Dusit district of Bangkok for Rachawinit School, and a land title deed for 6 rai, 3 ngan and 22 square wah, also in Dusit district, for Rachawinit Secondary School.

▪︎Army commander General Narongpan Jitkaewthae received a land title deed for an area of 1,059 rai, 1 ngan and 36.70 square wah in Pathum Thani province, and a land title deed for an area of 493 rai, 1 ngan and 63 square wah in Chonburi province for use by the Army.

▪︎Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, Pol General Suwat Jangyodsuk, received a land title deed for an area of 185 rai, 1 ngan and 85.20 square wah, in Cha-am district of Phetchaburi province for use as a working place for Naresuan Camp Border Patrol Police headquarters.

▪︎Commander of the Border Patrol Police, Pol Lt-General Wichit Paksa, received a land title deed for an area of 275 rai, 3 ngan and 57.20 square wah in Cha-am district of Phetchaburi province to use for Border Patrol Police headquarters, Rama VI Camp (Maruekhathaiyawan Palace) in Phetchaburi, which was in addition to the land bestowed in 2017.

▪︎The commander of the 15th Army Territory, Maj-General Prayook Oon-ob, received a land title deed for an area of 173 rai and 40.80 square wah in the Muang district of Phetchaburi province for use by the district’s 15th Army troop Rama Ratchaniwet (Ban Puen Palace) in Phetchaburi, which was in addition to the land bestowed in 2017.

▪︎Phetchaburi Governor Pakapong Tawipat received a land title deed for an area of 25 rai and 84 square wah in the area of King Mongkut’s Monument, in the Muang Phetchaburi district of the province for government work.

▪︎Acting president of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Prof Chutikan Sriviboon, received a land title deed for 60 rai, 1 ngan and 80 square wah in Bangkok’s Dusit district, for use as the location for Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

▪︎Suan Dusit University president Sirot Phonphanthin received a land title deed for 37 rai, 1 ngan and 10 square wah in Bangkok’s Dusit district, to use as location for the university.

Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida on Saturday opened the extension of the Blue Line mass transit route.

Their Majesties arrived at Sanam Chai station in Bangkok in the evening, and also granted an audience to high-ranking people and officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand governor Pakapong Sirikantaramas and chairman of the executive board of Bangkok Expressway and Metro Pcl, Plew Trivisvavet.

After the opening ceremony at Sanam Chai, the King and Queen took the train to Laksong station. They got out of the train and met with people who were waiting to be granted an audience at the Mall Bangkhae shopping mall area.
