INDEX CREATIVE Village’s first-quarter revenue jumped 42 per cent to Bt425 million after corporations and state agencies resumed spending on marketing activities and meetings.
Kriangkrai Kanjanapokin, founder and co-chief executive officer, said yesterday that though overall advertising saw a slight drop in the first two months of this year, some corporations had allocated some of |their budget to marketing activities |as an effective communications channel to engage with target customers. Government organisations also laid out money to hold meetings and conferences to update their policies.
“This shows that the event industry is now gradually improving,” he said.
Clients from the private sector accounted for 75 per cent of revenue in the first three months and the public sector contributed about 25 per cent.
This year the company has secured new clients from the automobile, entertainment, insurance, construction, fast-moving consumer goods, food and beverage and real-estate industries.
They represent 40 per cent of revenue while the remaining 60 per cent is new assignments from existing clients.
Besides rolling out marketing activities to launch products and build public awareness, many corporations are also focusing on internal campaigns and training to strengthen their teams and improve core competencies.
Its ICVex venture in Myanmar anticipates significant growth of 50 per cent in the first quarter from a year ago, mainly driven by trade fairs, exhibitions and museum management, which were in high demand by Thai companies keen on expanding in this neighbouring country, Kriangkrai said.
