FastBooking boasts that it enhances Internet booking engines and the connectivity of global distribution systems and payment gateways while serving as a new-generation channel-management tool.

Centara Hotels and Resorts operates 42 hotels in Thailand and elsewhere in Southeast Asia, as well as Maldives. It will soon open properties in the Middle East and the Caribbean. The company first started using FastBooking in 2004.

“As an independent hotel chain, we need a partner who can help us navigate the online market and at the same time develop our direct reservations business,” said Chris Bailey, chief operating officer of Centara Hotels and Resorts. “FastBooking has been able to do that for us effectively, which is why we are continuing our partnership.”

Hop Inn, a Thailand-based budget brand owned by the Erawan Group, is using the same technology to develop a website with an integrated booking engine that can help increase its online bookings. The group plans to increase its portfolio from 17 hotels to 30 inside and outside Thailand.

Youssef El Khomri, executive general manager of Hop Inn, said the company was interested in the FastBooking engine because of its capability to handle 37 languages and worldwide currencies.
