At Muang Thong Thani, the annual fair which will run through September 11 is part of Thailand’s efforts to make itself an international destination for gems and jewellery manufacturing and trade.

This year, 791 exhibitors showcase their products, including 151 foreign ones, according to data from the Department of International Trade Promotion.

Among 3,312 pre-registered visitors, 984 registered via overseas trade offices, mostly those in Europe, China, Hong Kong, the United States and Asean.
