OISHI GROUP’S financial results for the first nine months of the year show profits exceeded expectations at Bt10.3 billion, increasing 8 per cent from the same period last year.
Oishi food business contributed Bt4.9 billion – down 0.4 per cent – while its beverage business achieved profits of Bt5.4 billion, some 17 per cent higher than in the same period last year.
The three main strategies that drove overall growth were product innovation, brand engagement and distribution, the company said.
Food and beverage OEM (original equipment manufacturing) business contributed a profit of Bt887 million, up 90 per cent year on year. Food business accounted for Bt88 million of this amount, 183 per cent higher due to better cost management and effective marketing strategies.
Beverage business contributed Bt799 million, 83 per cent higher than a year earlier due to better capacity management, administration and marketing budget management.
The challenging goal Oishi Group has set in order to achieve its 2020 vision is to improve management effectiveness in all aspects, including innovative products and services, marketing and brand strengthening by following three main concepts.
The concepts are: premium mass-market lead innovation – to be the leader of the premium mass market; uncompromised Japanese quality and taste – to deliver quality products and services to the Japanese standard; and mindful pleasure – innovative branding.
