SMEs in focus of bank’s lending strategy

The Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri)’s SME Banking Group has announced its business strategy for 2018, aiming to become the main operating bank for SME customers through synergy with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG). It targets a eight-per cent growth in SME loans this year, said Sayam Prasitsirigul, head of SME business group yesterday.
In 2017, SME loans increased by 11.8 per cent , outpacing the industry average. Loans for trade finance increased by 31 per cent and those for supply chain grew substantially by 46 per cent.
