Second seeded Nitchaon Jindapol went down to Chinese Gao Fangjie 21-15 12-21 21-14 in the women’s singles before mixed doubles and women’s doubles defeats followed.

Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai lost o second seeded Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Jemie of Malaysia 21-18 21-14 before Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai, the top seeded team, fell to Japanese Ayako Sakuramoto and Yukiko Takahata 21-17 21-19.

Thailand’s national badminton team will next enter the World Championships which start in Nanjing from July 30.
