FLOWS FROM STATE UNITS BEAT 7-MONTH TARGET
State enterprises’ total revenue contribution to the government was 36 per cent higher than the target for the first seven months of the fiscal year 2018, starting October 2017, according to the State Enterprise Policy Office (Sepo).
Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Sepo director-general, said the state enterprises’ contribution in the first seven months was 36 per cent or Bt29.79 billion higher than the target at Bt112.59 billion.
In April of this year, state enterprises’ revenue contribution amounted to Bt44.44 billion, about Bt19.62 billion higher than the month’s target.
Chanvit Nakburee, Sepo deputy director-general and spokesman, cited better management and upgrade of work processes to be faster, more flexible and more responsive to the rapidly changing economic and social environment through innovation and information technology for the higher-than-targeted revenue collection.
The top five state enterprises for revenue contribution were the Government Lottery Office, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, PTT Plc, Government Savings Bank and Airports of Thailand Plc.
State enterprises are expected to make Bt137 billion in total contribution to the government in this fiscal year.
