18 firms registered for Thai operations

Eighteen foreign firms, from Singapore, Japan, and German with a total investment value of Bt1.04 billion, have registered their operations in Thailand in August, the Business Development Department of the Commerce Ministry reported yesterday.
The new companies will hire 282 Thai employees, the department said.
From January to August, 178 foreign firms have established thier presence in the Kingdom with Bt8.56 in total investment.
