AIC SEEKS SUPPORT

The Asean Insurance Council (AIC), a regional platform for the Asean insurance industry, is seeking insurers’ support in financing a sustainable development of the Asean economy, said Evelina F Pietruschka, secretary-general of AIC yesterday.
The Asean Life Insurance industry manages assets of US$438 billion. However, they are expected to distribute only 2 per cent of their assets for infrastructure development.
