The gold bar price was Bt24,900 per baht weight to buy and Bt25,000 to sell, while gold ornaments were Bt24,453.08 and Bt25,500, respectively.

Prices rose by about Bt450 per baht weight from Thursday’s close (March 5), when the buying rate of a gold bar was Bt24,450 and the selling rate Bt24,550, while gold ornaments cost Bt24,013.44 to buy and Bt25,050 to sell.

Meanwhile, Comex futures gold contracts increased by $25 to $1,668.00 (Bt52,518.50) per ounce at Thursday’s close as investors turned to safe-haven assets amid Covid-19 worries.
