As of 9.30am, the buying price of a gold bar was Bt25,950 per baht weight and selling price Bt26,150, while gold ornaments were priced at Bt25,483.96 and Bt26,650, respectively.

At Saturday’s close, the buying price of a gold bar was Bt26,050 per baht weight and selling price Bt26,250, while gold ornaments were priced at Bt25,574.92 and Bt26,750, respectively.

The Gold Spot Index price this morning moved to around US$1,728 (Bt55,212) per ounce after the price rose by $13.6 to $1,735.5 per ounce at close on Friday.

Investors were buying gold as a safe-haven asset amid uncertainty following the conflict between United States and China and the decline in US and Asian stock indices.

Meanwhile, the gold price on the Hong Kong market dropped by HK$60 to $16,000 (Bt65,913) per tael.
