On Monday, monks at Wat Saket said Phra Brahmasutee had taken his own life by hanging.

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said yesterday that several agencies had launched probes into the allegations against Phra Brahmasutee.

“Although he had taken portions of money allocated to fund the cremation of Somdej Phra Buddhacarya (Kiaw Upaseno), he had explained that he just borrowed them and returned the money after allegations against him arose,” Wissanu said, “[As a result], the probes have found him not guilty.”
