The girl had been sick since earlier last week and admitted to Phichit Hospital for three days before she passed away. Her cremation rite would be held on Monday at Wat Khamang.

According to the Phichit Public Health Office, since January 2016, a total of 90 people have been infected with the virus. Muang district was the most affected area with 23 cases.
