In the main case, suspect Weerapong Tanoo, 27, was nabbed on Saturday with 678,000 pills and two kilos of “ice” at a checkpoint on Asia Highway in Nakhon Sawan. After police found the illicit drugs hidden in a backdoor compartment, Weerapong reportedly confessed to taking packages from an agent in the North to deliver to a customer in Bangkok, believing that police would be more focussed on providing security to holiday makers during the Songkran period.
