DSI chief Pol Colonel Paisit Wongmuang led a team of senior officials to check the land on Koh Pak Nam, in a bid to accelerate the investigation before the statute of limitations ends next year.

He said the DSI probe had previously found that the land title deed for 25 rai (four hectares) overlapped the cemetery and mangrove forest, but the Land Office had not revoked the document or made any corrections. DSI investigator Pairoj Srisawat said progress had been made and investigation should be completed before the deadline.
