The 20 passengers and bus driver, Ratana Jenraksa, fled the bus and there were no injuries.

It took fire-fighters with three fire engines 20 minutes to put out the fire that consumed the entire bus while three lanes of the elevated road were closed. Police are investigating.

Ratana told police he was driving from Samut Prakan province towards the airport when smoke came out of the engine, so he pulled over and urged passengers to get out of the vehicle moments before it burst into flames.
