It will be up to the court to decide if the seven youths – who will be taken to court this morning to testify – should be granted bail, according to the lawsuit submitted by prosecutors to Bangkok’s Ratchadapisek Criminal Court.

The lawsuit states that Peerapol Yospong-anan, 21, Akaradech Thassana, 22, and Monmanas Seangpho, 21, along with four other teenagers were charged with murder and carrying weapons in public without a sound reason and home intrusion to assault Somkiat.

The lawsuit said that on May 1, the suspects took three knives to Soi Chokchai 4 Yaek 69, while four male members raided a house and fatally assaulted Somkiat with the knives and bricks.

Meanwhile, lawyer Anantachai Chaiyadech brought Somkiat’s mother Thongkham Srijan to file a request to become a co-plaintiff in this lawsuit along with the public prosecutors.
