AN arrest warrant was issued yesterday for a Myanmar factory worker suspected of killing a Thai co-worker and disposing her body of in an empty plot in Bangkok’s Bang Khun Thien district.

Nay Min, 28, is believed to have fled to Myanmar after allegedly committing the crime.

Police found bloodstains on Min’s impounded motorcycle and are waiting for the result of a DNA test to see if it was blood from his co-worker Durian Rodkhamtui.

The 24-year-old’s body was found with a deep cut to the throat and stab wounds in the chest and stomach in Soi Sakae Ngam 26 (Yaek 1). She had been seen riding pillion on Min’s motorcycle after finishing work on Thursday night before having a beer together at a grocery shop in Soi Sakae Ngam 30 and having an argument.

An informed source reported that police investigation had found Min and Durian went to Min’s rented room where he also invited a few other Myanmar male friends to join a drinking party. Min’s wife reached the room at around 1am and allegedly found the husband and his friends trying to force Durian to have sex with them but she resisted so they killed her. Min’s wife was said to be upset by their actions and argued loudly with them. Many outsiders also reportedly heard noise from the room. It was alleged that Min brought the body to dispose it of at Soi Sakae Ngam 26.

Police interviewed the parents of Min’s heavily pregnant Myanmar wife on Friday night. The couple said Min had a cut on the hand. They said he told them he had a fight with some Thais and wanted to flee with his wife.

Police investigators also learnt that Min had fled to Myanmar via Ranong province.
