The blast caused damage to a number of properties and vehicles but no one was hurt.

Witnesses told police that a young man parked the motorcycle in front of the two-storey shop at about 4.30am and casually walked away.

About 30 minutes later the bomb exploded, damaging the latex shop, five homes and five vehicles.
