Under the agreement, FPT and GTI will develop business co-operation on a global scale, primarily in Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. The two sides will co-operate in the field of technological research and development, as well as IT human resource development.

On the same day, FPT also signed a co-operative agreement with the IISAS – Institute of Informatics Slovak Academy of Sciences. FPT and IISAS research co-operation will develop, implement, and improve IT services and products in term of big data, cloud computing, and information security. FPT will also use the research results and knowledge from IISAS to improve IT products and services for customers.

The agreement was signed during the visit of Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico to Vietnam this week.
