Three Olympic medal-winning boxers will today lead a run from Lop Buri to the Grand Palace to pay their respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The three boxers – Manas Boonchamnong, Worapoj Phetkhum, and Suriya Prasarthimpimai – announced the staging of the run at Wat Phunoi in Lop Buri’s Nong Muang district yesterday.
Manas won gold at the 2004 Athens Games and silver in Beijing in 2008 while Worapoj and Suriya both won silver in Athens.
Manas said the run would start at 8am from the Ban Mee district office and go through Ban Mi town, along Ban Mee-Sing Buri Road and the Asia Highway heading to Bangkok.
He said the run would take about four days, with other members of the public taking part.
