Three “Super Mod” boats sailed down the Chao Phraya River to the Grand Palace to pay respect to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej inside the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall.
The sailors were national sailing team coaches such as Thammasak Meeyoosamsen, Sutee Poolpat and Charlee Itti.
Thammasak said that it was the first time he had sailed the Super Mod boats down the river, which proved their performance, nimbleness and speed.
“We intend to honour and pay homage to the late King and want to prove his remarkable talent in designing the Super Mod boats,” Thammasak said, adding that His Majesty had registered the patent for the boats in Britain.
Thammasak said it took four hours to cover the 17-kilometre stretch to the Grand Palace.
