Google yesterday revealed that Thais love watching videos on Valentine’s Day as the watch-time during the day grew 199 per cent year-on-year in 2016.
The Internet giant carried out a study to see how Valentine’s Day played out last year on YouTube, to find out what people were viewing during the day for lovers and assess the implications for marketers.
Research revealed that YouTube matters for Thais on the ‘Day of Love’ because it is a special occasion.
It’s mostly about romance, gifts from the heart, confidence and tying the knot, the research said. All of which are moments when Thais turn to YouTube to watch videos and share their experiences with the world.
Based on 2016 viewing habits, Thais are most likely to turn to YouTube for beauty tutorials, humour and video blogs.
