National artist Chinnakorn Krailart was taken to Siriraj Hospital on Wednesday after suffering severe pain in his back.
The famous Look Thung (Thai folk song) singer said the pain was so severe he was unable to move his body.
“I was admitted to hospital on Wednesday morning. I felt the pain in my back. Previously, the pain went away when I did a workout. But, I was unable to carry on doing that because my body could not bear it anymore.
“With dwindling energy, I’m getting weak physically. So, I came to let the doctor check the cause of the pain. I had a T-scan yesterday and tomorrow we would know the result,” the 70-year-old Chinnakorn said on Thursday.
Asked whether the symptom was a side effect of the chemotherapy he received after being diagnosed with colon cancer two years ago, Chinnakorn said: “Possibly, it could be. My illness became resistant. To put it simply, I don’t know when my time will come.
“I feel like fish in a floating basket. I don’t know when they would come to take us for cooking. The doctor suspected that [the pain] stemmed from an infection. But, it’s already infected, so we need to know the cause. It’s good at hiding, though.
“I still feel the pain from time to time. When I came to see the doctor, I could not move my body at all.”
