Thammasat University’s Puey Ungphakorn School of Development Studies has introduced an application called “Thai Alert” that warns the public about possible dangers they could face.
The app receives information and alert sent in by concerned members of the public and forwards it to relevant authorities.
It will also store the information in the system so that other people could use it for their volunteer work in the future.
Those who use the Android system can download the application now, while those with iOS can do so as of May 1.
Puey Ungphakorn School of Development Studies will soon launch a social-watch centre to receive complaints from the public about dangers and threats. The centre will work around the clock.
