The Education Ministry in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation will hold the International Congress on Education for the 21st Century (ICE 2017) on May 3 and 4 at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunum in Bangkok.
The event is held under the theme “Making a Difference: Shaping a New Learning Paradigm for a Sustainable Southeast Asia”. It will serve as a platform for 600 executives, educators and stakeholders to share perspectives on education agenda, innovative methods in teaching and applicable ideas in shaping a learning paradigm for the new generation.
During the opening ceremony, Education Minister Teerakiat Jareonsettasin will deliver the keynote address on “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for the Achievements of Sustainable Development Goals through Education”.
Paper presentations and discussions by experts and researchers from various organisations will also be held seven sub-themes. They are Teachers Education and Lifelong Learning; Making Accessible and Inclusive Quality Education Happen; Enhancing Regional Competitiveness through STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Education; Digital Learning in a Borderless World; Education in Emergencies and the Role of School Community; Bridging Skills Development for Global and Local Demands, and Strengthening Citizen Engagement in Education and Community Development.
