The scenerio is the most extreme and is unlikely to happen, but Meechai conceded that there might be differences in opinions on the content of the bills.

The Constitution Drafting Commission – which is obliged to prepare 10 organic bills as required by the new charter within eight months of its promulgation – has submitted at least two organic bills essential to the coming election. They are the political party bill and the Election Commission bill. Meechai is scheduled to defend them before the NLA today at Parliament.

“We will explain to them until they understand the draft bills totally,” said Meechai.
