Arrest warrants have been issued for four people in last week’s gruesome slaying of a karaoke-bar receptionist in Khon Kaen.
Three women and a man are being sought in connection with the killing of Warisara Klinjui, 22, whose body was found cut into two pieces and buried in a wooded area last Thursday, Provincial Police Region 4 chief Jatupon Panraksa said on Monday.
CCTV and other evidence prompted police to seek arrest warrants for the four friends of the victim, he said.
“The evidence is clear that they picked up Warisara from her apartment and had an argument,” Pol Lt General Jatupon said. He said information obtained suggested the group planned to kill her over a personal grudge that possibly involved illegal drugs. The four apparently tried to flee to Laos and Myanmar, he added.
Police have questioned a large number of people since the body was discovered, including the victim’s husband Sakchai Bahtthemdee, a construction contractor, and several of Warisara’s female “tomboy” friends. Possible motives mulled included robbery and jealousy stemming from a personal relationship.
