Floods have hit more than 100 families in the Ban Nong Khu area of Chaiyaphum province because the authorities have yet to fix a dyke that was damaged last year.
“The dyke sustained damages during the 2016 rainy season,” Sompes Moonsri, 57, said Wednesday.
Tambon Nong Khu Administrative Organisation chief executive Chainarong Wattanakantong said his agency had already sought a budget of more than Bt500,000 to fix the damage and signed a contract with a constructor.
“The constructor is expected to carry out the work between May 26 and July 25,” Chainarong said.
