The first edition of the Khao Yai Run for Rangers mini-marathon will be held on July 30 at Khao Yai National Park in a bid to raise money for the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry’s fund to support park rangers who were injured or killed in forest-protecting missions.
The event will comprise a 3.5-kilometre fun run and a 10.5km mini-marathon. Runners will pass landmarks including Sai Sorn reservoir, Thung Pong Kwang meadow, the old golf course and Suratsawadee Camp.
People interested in participating can apply at www.khaoyaimarathon.com or call for details at the park office on 086-0926527 or the tourist service centre on 086-0926529.

There is a Bt300-per-head fee and participants will be provided with a T-shirt. The winners will receive trophies from Natural Resources and Environment Minister General Surasak Karnjanarat while all runners who make it to the finish line will get a souvenir medal.
