Wilas Rujiwattanapong, who heads a disaster mitigation unit at the Rajaprajanukroh Foundation under royal patronage, presented the relief bags to 1,000 families at the Mae Sariang District Hall in the morning. The foundation also provided lunch for the people.

Mae Sarieng’s five tambons were hit by two rounds of flooding – first from July 10-26 and then from August 24-29, resulting in damage to residences and over 200 rais (32 hectares) of farmland.

Wilas presented relief bags to another 1,000 families at Sop Moei in the afternoon.
