Plea to Prayut over EEC planning, legal action threatened

The Association for the Protection of the Constitution has asked the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Policy Committee chaired by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha to revise its planning for cities in the area, claiming that the recent process lacked the genuine participation of the stakeholders.
The EEC covers the provinces of Chachoengsao, Chonburi and Rayong to the east and south of Bangkok.
Association secretary general Srisuwan Janya said that if its plea was ignored, it would join with people in the three provinces to take the case to the Central Administrative Court and Constitution Court.
