Thunderstorms, hail forecast for upper Thailand

Southwesterly and southeasterly winds prevail across the lower North, the Central and the East regions, and weak easterly winds cover the South. Thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. People should stay safe by keeping off unsecured buildings and outdoor places. Farmers should beware of crop damage, the department warned. The South is likely to see less rain.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
Northern region: Hot weather during the day with thundershowers and gusty winds in 40 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 17-26 degrees and highs of 33-37 degrees Celsius.
Northeastern region: Hot weather during the day with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area along with gusty winds and hail; temperature lows of 21-25 degrees and highs of 29-37 degrees Celsius.
Central region: Hot weather during the day with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the area along with gusty winds; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 36-38 degrees Celsius.
Eastern region: Partly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area along with gusty winds; temperature lows of 23-27 degrees, highs of 30-37 degree Celsius; waves a metre high.
Southern region (east coast): Partly cloudy with isolated rains; temperature lows of 21-27 degrees, highs of 31-35 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high.
Southern region (west coast): Partly cloudy with isolated rains; temperature lows of 23-24 degrees, highs of 34-37 degree Celsius; waves a metre high.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Hot weather during the day with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the area along with gusty winds; temperature lows of 26-27 degrees, highs of 33-37 degrees Celsius.
