BAAC cuts interest rate to help Covid-19 affected customers

The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) announced on Saturday (March 28) a reduction in loan interest rates for MRR (Minimum Retail Rate) by 0.125 per cent from 6.75 to 6.625 per cent from April 1.

“The decision to reduce the interest rate is aimed at helping BAAC customers who have been affected by the Covid-19 as well as drought situations,” BAAC president Apirom Sukprasert said.

Also, from April 1 the BAAC will reduce the interest for special savings account and fixed deposit account for individuals, juristic persons, government and state enterprise clients by 0.05-0.35 per cent, to be in line with loan interest rate cut.
