Isolated heavy rains forecast for the North, Northeast and East

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Friday (August 21) that a monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevails across the upper Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf.
Isolated heavy rains are likely in the northern, northeastern and eastern regions. People should beware of the severe weather conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff, the department cautioned.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
North: Cloudy with thundershowers in 80 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 23-25 degrees Celsius and highs of 31-35°C.
Northeast: Cloudy with thundershowers in 80 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-25°C and highs of 30-33°C.
Central: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-26°C, highs of 32-36°C.
East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-27°C, highs of 30-33°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-26°C, highs of 33-34°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-26°C, highs of 32-33°C; waves a metre high and two metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 25-26°C, highs of 32-35°C.
