Toll-free expressways from September 4-7

Certain highways and motorways will be toll-free from September 4-7, after the Cabinet approved the public holidays as compensation for Songkran.
The annual Songkran break in April had been cancelled due to the nationwide lockdown following the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Ministry of Transport said on Friday that it expected heavy traffic during the long weekend, said Suksomruay Wanthaneeyakul, secretary to the transport minister.
From midnight September 3 until midnight September 8, the following highways will be toll-free:
▪︎ Highway No. 7 Bangkok – Pattaya
▪︎ Highway No. 9 Outer Ring Road from Phrapradaeng to Bangkhuntian
▪︎ Kanjanapisek Road from Bangpa-In to Bangplee
“The Expressway Authority of Thailand will also exempt the toll fee on selected expressways,” she added.
