Upper Thailand gets cooler, isolated thundershowers forecast for the South

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Monday that the high pressure system from China covers the upper North and the Northeast of Thailand. Cool weather is forecast for upper Thailand with isolated rain.
The weak monsoon trough across the middle South and the northeast monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand are expected to bring isolated thundershowers to the South.
The department said that at 4am, the category 3 tropical storm “Goni” over the Philippines has moved into the middle South China Sea. It is expected to enter the coast of Vietnam on November 4-5.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
North: Cool weather with rain in 20 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 20-24 degrees Celsius, maximum 30-33°C; temperature on hilltops is likely to drop to 9-14°C.
Northeast: Cool weather with isolated light rain; minimum temperature 20-23 degrees, maximum 32-33°C; temperature on hilltops is likely to drop to 12-15°C.
Central: Cool weather with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 22-24°C, maximum 31-33°C.
East: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-24°C, maximum 32-33°C; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres offshore.
South (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas and isolated heavy rain; minimum temperature 23-24°C, maximum 32-34°C; waves 1-2 metres high and two metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 32-34°C; waves 1-2 metres high and over two metres during thundershowers.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; minimum temperature 23-24°C, maximum 32-33°C.
