Initiated by the German Embassy and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce, the meeting was aimed at a closer corporation between the government and the German business community in Thailand.

The statements of the businessmen underlined that Thailand remained an attractive location for their activities. Representatives from different sectors – automotive, energy, infrastructure and agriculture – offered suggestions on economic policy.

The framework for research and development in Thailand and cooperation in the field of dual vocational education were also addressed.

Representatives of the Thai government emphasised that Germany and German companies are highly appreciated as long-term partners of the Kingdom. They also explained in detail a number of reform projects of the government and noted the suggestions.
