Organisers reported a 7-per-cent increase in trade visitors during the four-day trade segment when compared to the 2014 show. There was also a 5-per-cent increase in VIP delegations.

A press release from Experia Events, organiaers of the airshow, said 80,000 public visitors thronged the Changi Exhibition Centre during the weekend, taking in flying displays by representatives from countries such as France, the United States, Singapore and South Korea.

The 2016 airshow also marked the first showcase of various aircraft, such as two US Air Force F-22 stealth fighters, the Airbus A400M, and other aircraft and helicopter models such as the Airbus H145 and Bell 505.

“We are pleased that the fifth edition of the Singapore Airshow has received such strong support from both trade and public visitors alike. We are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve the curation of programmes and activities to provide a meaningful experience for all participants,” said Leck Chet Lam, managing director of Experia Events.
