PM not looking for faults in ministry officials: govt
By The Sunday Nation
The prime minister has no intention of trying to find faults in state officials when making visits to ministries on short notice, government spokesman Lt-General Sansern Kaewmkamnerd said yesterday.
He said that PM Prayut Chan-o-cha made short-notice visits because he did not want to receive formal welcoming ceremonies.
He said Prayut wanted to see the progress of work himself and hear about problems affecting projects.
“The prime minister does not want to find faults in anyone. He is confident everyone attentively does their work,” Sansern said. The spokesman also dismissed media reports that the prime minister has made “surprise visits” to ministries without informing the bureaucrats beforehand.
“Actually, prior notifications were made before his visits. At least the ministers were notified,” the spokesman said, adding that he did not think the visits put extra pressure on ministry officials.
