The event, which will last until Sunday, is hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Hat Yai City Municipality.

Visitors can admire 19 huge multi-coloured balloons from 13 countries, including Japan, Belgium, and the United States, that are on display at Jiranakorn Stadium. They can also enjoy various entertainment performances and a food festival.

The event is expected to draw more than 100,000 people and generate more than Bt100 million in revenue.
