Hmong villagers in three villages in Tambon Bo Pak of Phitsanulok’s Chat Trakan district joined forces to repair the road surface on a 21 kilometer section of the Bo pak-Ban Nam Juang road, as there is no government budget allocation for the repair.
The road, the main route linking the three villages to the outside world, was in need of repair, particularly during the rainy season when it would become watrelogged.
Hmong residents led by Moo 13 headman Yee Saeyang came together on Friday with their knives, hoes and shovels as well as rocks and cement to fill up holes and cut intruding tree branches.
Villager Chor Woradamrongkul said the local people decided to take action to improve their community as there was no financial support from the government.
