Department chief Ruenwadee Suwanmongkol took media members to inspect the aircraft at Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport on Thursday. She said it was the first commercial plane that the agency had put on auction.

It was seized in a civil lawsuit filed by law firm Watson Farley and Williams Co Ltd (Thailand) against Asia Connect Airline Co Ltd and executive Sakkarat Chanthraporn.

The aircraft’s last trip was from South Korea’s Incheon International Airport to Don Muang on January 13, 2016, after which it was impounded, she said.

The successful bidder will also have to pay the Bt17,000 per day aircraft-parking fee, which will accumulate to Bt4 million by September 6.
