Abhist attended the merit-making rite at Wat Pho Man Kunara on Soi 19 off Sathupradit Road, which was held to celebrate Bhichai’s birthday.

Abhisit was accompanied by two deputy leaders, Ong-arj Klampaibul and Jurin Laksanavisit.

Bhichai hugged Abhisit once the two met, and Abhisit gave him a bouquet and wished him healthy and strong life.

Earlier, Abhisit strongly criticised a proposal by Bhichai for the major political parties to form a national government of unity with junta leaders after the next election. Abhisit said such an idea would be tantamount to an insult to voters.
