Forty-one areas in Bangkok and nearby provinces were found to have unsafe levels of PM2.5 – airborne particulates 2.5 microns in diameter and smaller, –The Pollution Control Department reported on Saturday morning.
The PCD report said the PM2.5 levels were found to be higher than the safe limit of 50 micrograms per cubic metre of air in 24 roadside areas and 17 general areas (away from main roads).
The report said the lack of strong wind and rain on Saturday morning contributed to the high levels of PM2.5.
