Violet blooms line the road to Phayao

People driving to the northern province of Phayao will be treated to the stunning view of blooming Lagerstroemia or crepe myrtle trees.

The trees with bright violet-coloured flowers line Phaholyothin Road for 20 kilometres, from Phayao’s Muang to Mae Chai district. Many people were seen getting off their cars to take photographs of the bright flowers, which are expected to last until May this year.

The crepe myrtle trees bloom during the dry season.
