Passers-by were seen taking photographs on Friday in Bangkok’s Rajdamnoen Avenue now that it has been decorated with flowers and greenery to mark the 87th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
Her Majesty’s birthday on August 12 is marked every year as National Mother’s Day.
Most of the flowers used in the decorations are blue in colour, representing Friday, the day of Her Majesty’s birth.
