Thammasat teachers, students clean garbage from canal

Some 100 teachers and students of Thammasat University (TU)’s Rangsit Campus as well as community volunteers on Sunday attended a garbage-collection activity riding kayaks and two boats at Khlong 1 Canal area in Pathum Thani province.
The group, led by university deputy rector Parinya Thewanarumitkul and Pathum Thani MP Anawin Ratanasataporn from the Future Forward Party, collected garbage and removed water hyacinth in the area behind Wan Khru 2502 School in Khlong Luang district.
The activity was also meant to raise public awareness against littering or discharging wastewater into the canal.
