The bureau of the Meteorological Department said the quake happened at 5.05am Thailand time.

The quake’s epicenter was located at Latitude 21.81.8 degree north and Longitude 102.40.1 degree East and it was about 10 kilometres deep. The epicenter was about 266 kilometres northeast of Tambon Rim Khong in Chiang Rai’s Chiang Khong district.
